Today we have the pleasure of releasing Jen Heatly’s Identity and business card design. She threw the pitch looking for something more rustic, classic and talking all sorts of vintage brooms. So we planted our feet and hit a homer first swing. We love you for that Jen!

New category of work!…Side Projects

We here at Capital City Creative don’t just put down the pen or step away from the computer when were not working on a paid commission. We are sharpening our tools and skills by doing projects just for the hell of it or for friends or for a confidence boost.
So to kick things off Blair Farrington stumbled upon theses dudes..The House of David. They were an Israelite commune in the early 1900′s where members had too grow out their hair and beards. They were quite fascinating and I strongly encourage you folks to google them. But they were notibly know for their barnstorming baseball teams. Blair being the lover of baseball, beards and long hair couldn’t resist but to do up some hand done designs for these cats.

Ryan at Steveston Tattoo Co. recently hit us up for a last minute ad design for a local publication. With this being a “rush” job we felt is was appropriate to take our time with by busting out pencils and doing it up by hand. We also supplied them with a classic cleaned up version in which they decided to roll with.

We designed a website for Mammoth & co. , an online store focused on selling limited editioned art and photography prints, and it so happened to sneak it’s way onto the examples page on the shopify site…meaning they liked it so much they put it on their site to represent their platform. There’s are a lot of solid designs and were hyped to be amongst such good company.Check it out.
And make sure to scope Mammoth & Co. out. The dude who runs it looks like John Lennon.

Start Making is a new program for entrepreneurs. The program basically goes through the fundamentals of how you can get people to love your idea as much as you do. The site features just over a dozen 1 minute videos of successful inspiring entrepreneurs just spitting knowledge of start ups and hardships. Check it out and request an invite if your like me.
